Con el objetivo de que los estudiantes amplíen sus conocimientos sobre las dimensiones de la guerra y la situación global que está viviendo Ucrania, la Escuela de Graduados de Estudios Militares del ERD, (EGEMERD), perteneciente a la facultad de Ciencias Militares de la Universidad Nacional para la Defensa, general Juan Pablo Duarte y Díez, (UNADE), realizó exitosamente la conferencia titulada » Crisis de Ucrania y situación global” dirigida a los estudiantes de la especialidad y el curso de comando y Estado Mayor y de Operaciones Militares para Oficiales Auxiliares”.
Dicha conferencia fue pronunciada por el destacado profesor, general en la honrosa posición de retiro, Lic. Damián Enríquez Arias Matos, P.N, la misma, se inscribe dentro del bloque de operaciones avanzadas.
Los participantes tuvieron la oportunidad de interactuar con el expositor, enriqueciendo así sus perspectivas y conocimientos, sobre los conflictos internacionales y la geopolítica.
De su lado, el coronel Jorge Luis Vásquez Suárez, ERD, (DEM), director general de la EGEMERD, aseguró que «esta conferencia ha sido una experiencia enriquecedora para todos los participantes», dijo que «la intención era proporcionar a los oficiales las herramientas necesarias para comprender y analizar desde diferentes puntos de vista el panorama geopolítico en constante cambio.
Así mismo, dijo que la charla forma parte del programa de estudios que reciben los oficiales que realizan la especialidad y el curso en Comando y Estado Mayor y de Operaciones Militares para Oficiales Auxiliares, dando cumplimiento a las instrucciones del Mayor General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, comandante General del Ejército de República Dominicana, de propiciar una educación de calidad.
