La Escuela de Graduados de Estudios Militares del Ejército, celebró un encuentro con las esposas de los oficiales miembros de la Especialidad y el Curso en Comando y Estado Mayor. El Coronel Jorge Luis Vásquez Suárez, ERD., (DEM), Director General de la casa de Altos Estudios Militares, pronunció las palabras de bienvenida en nombre del Mayor General Carlos A. Fernández Onofre, Comandante General del Ejercito de República Dominica, el cual estuvo acompañado de su esposa la Dra. Maribel Cruz de Vásquez, conversó con las damas sobre la importancia de la integración y comprensión de ellas a sus esposos que cursan el Estado Mayor. Los oficiales y sus esposas participaron en una dinámica de parejas dirigida por los expositores, el Padre Tte. Coronel Reynaldo Nicolas González, ERD., Scheny Candi Fabián Especialista en Derechos Humanos y Violencia de Género.
Este Taller tiene como objetivo que las esposas comprendan el proceso que están viviendo los estudiantes fuera de casa, el cual abarca mucho tiempo y lo que conlleva estar separados de la familia, el bienestar de los oficiales y sus familias mientras cursan los programas de estudio, para que prevalezca el amor, comunicación, confianza, respeto, el entendimiento para resolver los conflictos de forma pacífica y poder obtener resultados de una vida de pareja y familiar saludable y duradera.
